Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Chopping and changing from place to place does not build a relationship.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After saying for the last 3 services that the front pads need replacing, well this time they were right!
Last major service (about 3 months ago) they said about 2k left on the front pads....well, a bit of spirited driving this morning and I got the front wear pad sensor on.....almost exactly 2k later.
£370 at an OPC, or a £100 less at a reputable Indy....hmm, I wonder!
The ironic thing is, that if OPC hadn't kept telling me that the brake pads needed changing at every service, I would have had them done this time (even though it's £100 more, it's also the hassle factor to consider).
Fingers crossed that the discs don't need replacing as well!!!!...hopefully not, as the OPC didn't say anything about this and they are usually the first to spot below minimum thickness, or corrosion etc.
Cheers,
GD
Well I live in Southampton and swear by (the bast***s  - not really) Bournemouth OPC.
I think you just have to find a place that is straight with you and then build a relationship. Chopping and changing from place to place does not build a relationship. I find loyalty to a supplier pays off in the longer term!

I think Guildford just have a bit of attitude problem. A very close family member and I have bought seven brand new Porsche from them (not a single one discounted) + associated servicing and they still treat us like s*, so you can't say we haven't tried to build a relationship with them!
We now buy from Mid Sussex OPC, but that's too far to regularly travel for a service. All the local dealers here are ex-AFN (who got bought by PCGB) and I personally believe this is the problem.
.edited, last 2 bought from Mid Sussex
Servicing can be a bit hit & miss. I use either West London or Reading, both are AFN without any trouble. Always found good service, good contact both on sales & servicing side.
Not too bad thanks, hope to finally move home in the next few weeks..
Wanted to come to Oulton, but so busy at work ! I will be there on the next one be nice to have a beer.
b*, needed to get the front discs changed as well. Ended up costing ~550 versus 660 from OPC.
at least it's all done now.
now just need to get some Carrera 18" wheels....think I'm going to get them from Porsche-apart.
any thoughts?
