Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hey guys, I got a Soul PP cat back exhaust. Upon install, my shop was having alignment issues and we determined my right side header may have been slightly bent in an accident by the PO. Drives fine otherwise. If anyone knows the underside of our cars well or can take a quick look under their own car and tell me what they think. Should the cat be perfectly parallel with the motor? Pics would be even better. Thanks in advance for your help.

POST 3Original post

Thank you. Even though those are aftermarket headers, the position of the catalytic converter flange should match the factory one. It definitely looks like yours has a little more clearance between the catalytic converter and the engine.

POST 4Original post

Wrong. Those are soul headers and a soul rear section. Sent from my SM-G991W using Tapatalk

POST 5Original post

What's "wrong" with what the OP has said? As the OP said, they are aftermarket parts, but the flange on the cat should be in the same location. As the headers can be used with the oem exhaust, and the catback can be used with the oem headers.

POST 6Original post

Yep. Got me. More coffee needed. I see he has stock headers. Oops. Sent from my SM-G991W using Tapatalk

POST 7Original post

So, yes, my header was bent. I took my car to a recommended exhaust shop, they heated my header and bent it back out so it sits correctly, readjusted my Soul cat back system, and now everything lines up and I can enjoy my new exhaust.
