My windscreen was rubbish after a long motorway drive, but after that stuff it was brilliant again....Use a small amount along the blades too to remove any rubbish.....

My blades are rubbish. Can you fit the flat (floppy!!) blades on a 996 (2003) like my wife has on her Focus ST? If so which are the best ones and where do I get? Thanks 8)

You supposedly can (I haven't done it yet) from Aceparts.... try ebay.... Also remember half the time it's not the blades but crud buildup on the glass.... get a good cleaner (halford do a great product - Halford intensive glass cutter) to remove the slime, grime etc.... then you can apply say rainx to help. My windscreen was rubbish after a long motorway drive, but after that stuff it was brilliant again....Use a small amount along the blades too to remove any rubbish.....

I have the ones from AceParts fitted (purchased off eBay). After installation, I found that one of them juddered alot at slow speed. But at higher speed, the blades are flat to the glass and wipe smoothly with no juddering. They don't quite lay flat across the entire length of the wiper - lifting at the edges with the curvature of the glass, but then neither did the OEM Bosch wipers. But after a few heavy rainshowers, thankfully the juddering is all gone now, and they seem to work fine. Maybe it took some time to bed in. Aesthetically, I think they really improve the look of the 996 and provide a nice clean/smooth appearance. At the low price Aceparts is asking on eBay, they're worth a try. 4/5 stars :thumbs:

Ah great stuff guys. I just ordered these on Monday! Was wondering what they were going to look like. Looking good from the pics, and hopefully do the trick with ACTUALLY clearing my screen as my current blades are next to useless! lol. Edit: They were £13.95 from eBay (including p+p) Taran 8)
