Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Set up your PIWIS to Log the Actual Cam advance values on Bank 1 and 2 , then run engine or take a drive to compare Bank 1 and 2 values to see where the discrepancy is....You likely have a sticking Vane Adjuster on Bank 1..( or possibly a bad solenoid or even an improper assembly of the Cam/sealing rings from previous work )

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, My car is currently sitting at just shy of 133,000km. For months I've had these two codes appear when I complete a scan. I've cleared them with PIWIS, Durametric and some other OBD tool. After each clear I re-scan and they're gone. However a few days/weeks later they'll come back. Here's the weird thing. They come back with the same freeze frame data. The car feels fine to me. Any ideas why I cannot clear them? Is this something I need to chase ? Adding to this. I ran (engine off) the Drive links checks --> valve lift control banks 1 and 2 and activated it. I could hear a rhythmic ticking. Standing to the left/right of the car with my left ear (consistency... my right ear is stuffed for hearing) the ticking was not louder or fainter on either side. so I would assume both were activating. further I re-ran fault for DME and no codes after testing. Knock? because it is called Nockenwellenverstellung ? that is cam adjustment according to google?

POST 4Original post

Maybe a bit more history would help. Did any work get done on the car prior to these codes?

POST 5Original post

Yea sorry google pointed me in the wrong direction on the 1328 code....still the same advice. Fix it.
