Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, new here, just picked up a 996 C4S with 9800 km on the odometer, collector’s car, imported from Japan. It’s almost like new but it’s missing the PSE. Still being serviced - getting all the oils changed, new tires, etc. So far the PSE is the only exhaust that I’ve heard that sounds like what I’m looking for. New PSE’s are obviously almost impossible to come by and although I did see one on Suncoast, I’d hate to see the import duties in Europe on one of those. Anyway, I’m looking for something that sounds like a PSE or is a PSE at a reasonable price. Preferably available in Europe. Suggestions extremely welcome. Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

Check Carnewal. In Europe. https://www.carnewal.com/Exhaust#996 They have PSE, but its a few bucks. You could reach out and see which of their other options might work for you, or piece together what your PSE is missing.

POST 3Original post

Look into Top Gear products. Theyre based in the UK. Excellent pricing compared to the well overpriced options in the US. I have their mufflers and about to order a set of cats.

Thanks. Expensive but I assume their PSE is new. 🖖🏻

Can you suggest a good video which will showcase them well? Perhaps in comparison to PSE or stock? Seen a few but nothing well recorded.

POST 6Original post

Theres a few videos on their website and on you tube. I cant suggest one for your PSE. They do have some valved options and I'm they have some sounds clips on the product page.

POST 7Original post

If you haven't already, consider a Fister exhaust. Perfect sound and tone, zero drone, super reasonable cost. Plus Darin and his staff in CA are such a pleasure to work with.

Unfortunately what with duties and taxes, it would be at least 30% more expensive than the US price. Not even sure how much shipping would be.

Horible customer service do not use Top Gear UK unless you dont care about ever reaching out to them. They are ghosting me on all their contact methods with a fitment concern issue with my X-Pipe from them. To the point I had to call from the US and eat that phone bill. They answered said email then once I said the issue stopped responding. Same with their contact form on the website, and their FB page answered until I mentioned the issue and they ghosted me. Trash trash trash customer service.
