Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an 03, 911, which has a clear bra that was installed in 03.It will be replaced soon. The headlight lens have very fine lines, (cracks) which are similar to those on the clear bra. I can't detect a film on the lens. Is this cracking a sign of a film on it or is it a common OEM problem with the original lens ?

POST 2Original post

Hard to say. You've posted this on the air-cooled 911 forum, and we all have glass headlight lenses. You should repost this question at Porsche 996/997/991 Forum - Pelican Parts Technical BBS

POST 3Original post

Welcome to the Pelican community, hollen. So, you're saying that the clear bra that was installed on the front of the vehicle was also installed onto the headlights? Are the actual headlight lenses cracking or do you think it may be the clear bra that is showing wear? Can you post some pictures for us by chance? You can always have the shop that you bring it to for the new clear bra to have them remove it from your lenses and then have them refinish them and install new bra material.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
