At the same time, if it's on eBay, the price will likely go up anyway, so don't get your heart set on them.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Assuming yours is not a widebody, the rears are the right offset. The fronts in an 8" are usually 50 or 52mm. Thus, the ones you're talking about are "in" an extra 6 to 8mm. You might have fitment problems such as hitting the brakes, but it depends on the exact shape of the spokes, etc. Worst case, you could probably use spacers in the front. Make sure you have an out if they don't fit since 58mm looks kind of funky to me.
hmmmmm not a widebody and they are HRE wheels look like the BBS style centers with rivots.....an ebay thing ....price is right but if they dont work not worth it....also ever hear of painting the centers after the fact? if so any suggestions? my car is seal grey and all stock....has the rockers and all but i am thinking of dressing it up a bit....dont want to spend too much....just got a new cayenne s and dropped a load on that...expensive wheels sport package panoramic roof...pipes....springs on and on.....thanks
HRE makes nice wheels. About the painting, you may want to ask how many miles are on the wheels and if they were ever tracked, etc. A few months back, there were a few threads where I think HREs were being banned at some events because the centers were breaking under race conditions. I think there was some discussion about possible ill-effects of powder-coating wheels (related to heat stress). Some others commented that wheels subject to race conditions need to be inspected regularly. My concern would be painting the centers might hide any kind of stress cracks. No expert here, just regurgitating some past comments in threads.
You could put the GT3 5mm spacers and bolts on the front, and you'll be about the stock offsets. The GT3 spacers/bolts/retaining screws/locks, though, are about $375 from the dealer if I remember.
thanks for the info....sounds to me like i should look for a better fit....i hate having to make something work.....i will never be satisfied.....better to spend a little more and be happy....
Before you walk away, there's a good chance if they're on a 996 now, that they would fit yours. Just depends on how **** you are about fit/look (I am). At the same time, if it's on eBay, the price will likely go up anyway, so don't get your heart set on them. There are plenty of nice wheels out there. Good luck!
thanks for all the info....once i get it into my head...i rather pay double to get what i wanted....all good points listed...thanks for the info....best....
