Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just had the horns on the old girl replaced and was a front bumper off job at a local indie - however i have just driven the car home and the outside temp gauge is stuck on 18 degrees ! It is certainly not correct as it is snowing at the moment. I know the sensor is on the front bumper - is it easy to replace > could it just be a wire ? Any thoughts on what to do gratefully received Angus R

POST 2Original post

Is it clipped into the bracket properly? Maybe it has fallen out, and resting near to the radiator.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the reply Richard - It was loose but I relocated it and now the reading is now 22 degrees. Would it need time to reset ? Is it easy to replace if faulty ?

POST 4Original post

Not too bad. IIRC the cable goes through a grommet in the front wall of the luggage compartment and there is a plug and socket just inside. Edit: no, it should read thecorrect temperature pretty much straight away.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
