Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

actually i dont know where to put this thread on, if any mods is able to find the appropriate section, feel free to move it. i just got my front bumper replaced with the techart kit. after the 2nd day, while i was driving, the CEL appear. at first i thought that this only caused by an error that i've read before in the forum where CEL just came on and it will turn itself off after re-starting the car. so after i find a place to stop the car, i turn the engine off and when i restarted it, the CEL is still ON! ! ! ! ! ! after reaching my destination, i thought that leaving the car for an hour or more will make the CEL light to be gone. but no! IT"S STILL ON ! ! ! currently my car, has 3 information displayed in the dash. 1. check passenger airbag (always happens) 2. re-fill the washer fluid. ( when installing the front bumper, the water has to be removed. 3. the CEL. do any of you thinks that the wiring that needed to be dealt with while during the installation of the bumper triggered the CEL ? i hope that i could get a rough idea of what might happened to my car. thank you guys.

The only way to know is to put a testor on your car and see if it can read the codes then see what the codes mean. You can get an OBDII testor at any auto parts store, Sears, etc.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
