I have been religious about changing my brake fluid every two years ever since I had a 993 that had an ABS pump fail due to not having the fluid changed for 3 and a bit years.

If you care about your service book log then it has a stamp slot for every two years change. The fluid is "hygroscopic," which means it tends to absorb moisture over time...

Thanks for the advice - have decided to have it changed anyway. Its 2.5 years since the last change and 6000 miles, so dont think should be an issue.
