Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, can anyone recommend the best clutch to fit onto a 2000 996, also the best place to order on from, Cheers Rez

POST 2Original post

A genuine clutch kit from an OPC is £363.58+VAT, or you can get a Sachs kit from eurocarparts.com for £195. I'm not sure who make the original Porsche part - it may well be Sachs, but who knows?

POST 3Original post

Sachs make the original clutch for the 996, but watch what you get from euro car parts, sometimes its not what you expect.

POST 4Original post

Also, if a supplier says its Sachs, its often actually a LUK remanufactured clutch that was originally a genuine part that wore out!
