So I changed to the clear turn signals (had it done at the dealer) when I picked the car up. The problem is the driver's side turn signal keeps popping out every couple days. Any way to fix it? Should I go back to the dealer and say you fix it. Or will they just pop it back in place like I keep having to do. Glue? Nail gun? Velcro?
Sounds like the retaining clip was broken. I'd take it back to the dealer, especially since they installed it.
The right thing to do would be to take it back - however, as happened with my
S2000
- I got some superglue and the problem was solved in about 10 seconds.
Super glue
What happens when you have to change the bulb?
It sure looks nice in black and the clear side indicator looks gr8!
I'd be concerned about the dealer breaking the clip. Hope the dealer can remedy this completely for you.
The idea of gluing it in place really bothers me. I'd want to be able to change a burnt out bulb without taking a screw driver to it and prying it off--with about four inches of paint.
Give you $25K for it.
I know, that's  but I'd do it!
After replacing my own sidemarkers, the side I learned on was a little loose. I held it in with a small piece of double faced foam tape placed near the back edge. It is invisible from the outside and will be easy enough to remove and replace when the time comes.
When I replaced mine, one of them was really loose. The clip wasn't broken. So I removed it and bent the spring. Then when I installed it it was tight. And after a year, it is still tight.
If the dealer installed them, you should take tit back for them to fix.
As for glue - NOT.
The drivers side may just be weak, my drivers side turn signal fell out while I was on the track one day and I've never tried to remove them before.
As stated above, it has a metal bracket that you can just bend and stick it back in.
