Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've gone through a zillion of the T10 W5W LED bulbs looking for replacements for the original halogen interior ones, and they've all been either way too bright, or a really cool white, almost bluish, that just looks tacky. I've finally found some that are exactly the same colour temperature and brightness as the halogen ones: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32974644387.html Maybe will help somebody!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Make sure you pick the "warm white" option!

POST 3Original post

Thought I'd throw in my choice too. I replaced all mine with these filament style LED's some time ago. I found they are indistinguishable from halogens except for the fact they don't get hot. Just remember for the festoon style they are directional and you want them to face the reflector to mimic a halogens brightness and throw.

POST 4Original post

Fair play but forgive my ignorance, if they look the same as the halogen bulbs then why the need for LEDs?

POST 5Original post

I thought that too, :dont know: I fitted LED's in the interior many years ago. Bright white ones infact, for me, it does make the interior feel a little newer than it is. but that's just my opinion.

Just to reduce battery drain, it's fairly minor thing though admittedly

POST 8Original post

For me to it was reduce battery strain and heat, also if you do something silly like leave the door slightly open or work on the car all day with them open it doesn't kill the battery. Added bonus is LED's tend to last far longer and are less susceptible to vibration and impact so chances are you will never need to replace a bad bulb again once they are done.
