This is not a probability of success.

If you do track days etc or drive as Porsche intended these cars to be driven you should never use repaired tyres - no right or wrong

Ps if you wear a high vis vest to cross the road please replace both tyres with new immediately
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Legally a tyre can only be repaired if it is a small puncture (less than 6mm in diameter) in the central ¾ of the tyre, anywhere else is deemed unsafe as it is too close to the sidewall........although some of my local outfits will fix owt.
I'd say that's repairable within the law.
Yes thats defo repairable. However depends on your driving style. If you do track days etc or drive as Porsche intended these cars to be driven you should never use repaired tyres - no right or wrong
You can't be 100% sure until the tyre is removed from the rim but I would be pretty confident that it's repairable.
The British standard for puncture repairs is BSAU159G and states that if it's below 6mm in diameter and the penetration is less than 15 degrees from the vertical then you should be ok.
If it was mine I would be repairing it. :thumb:
Repair it and crack on or your next post will be shall I just buy x1 new tyre or replace as a pair. I have had a tyre repaired and been on track and guess what i still have both thumbs.
Maybe just repair and replace it before it gets too low on tread rather than keeping it for its entire life.
With three sets of wheels i came to the Nordschleife and had to replace my 'wet' tyres as I just realised they were seven years old. I normally go with Cups on but the forecast was rain both days. As it was no rain today but a pea soup fog so the track hasn't opened yet.

Take it to a decent tyre shop and they will give you the reality check. I think it can be. Protyres once offered a repair with guarantee for a similar one.
That's a nice easy one you could repair yourself with the chewing gum sticks
That said it depends on the law where you are based and not whether it's actually safe. I used to work out in Saudi for years and a chewing gum repair would have been safe out there and they had no speed enforcement at the time you would regularly see cars doing 180+ on the road to Riyad.
Winny
Yes it can be repaired but 2 puncture repairs in a tyre is not desirable .. it all depends on how you drive the car though.
For me .. i wouldn't be happy doing it either .
Indy is probably following Porsche guidelines .. 2 is not allowed ... also any issues and they would be first in the firing line .
Honest answer .
