Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just checking. I've seen a couple of cars advertised as having heated seats but as far as I can see they don't have buttons at the base of the centre console where I would expect them to be. Both places know the product so whilst it might just be a typo it might be that there is another place for the buttons. Is there?

POST 2Original post

For what its worth - the buttons on my 2002 model are, as you say, at the base of the centre console ( and have 2 positions - warm & hot). Don't know if later models have re-positioned switches. P

POST 3Original post

I've seen them in situated adjacent to the window switches,

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Gordon, That I didn't know.

POST 5Original post

They should be on the 'batwing' at the bottom of the centre console. If they are anywhere else, someone has moved them. The switch positions aft of the window switches are used for the rear windows on a cabriolet, or the rear release on a Targa.

POST 6Original post

Having them on my T cab Richard is exactly right about the position of the heated seat switches and function of the second set of switches for the cabriolet rear windows. I bet he also knows that with the roof down the rear window switches are disabled, dammit!

POST 7Original post

I've only seen it once, so they could have been moved or retro fitted(unlikely) trouble is cant remember which car it was on. I'll check my photographs, thinking black 2005 turbo s
