Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone ever found a better aftermarket replacement for the foam spring seat on the cayman rear suspension ? It P/N 981-333-504-01. I took my rear suspension apart to replace the struts, and after 10 years, the part was a crumbly handful of what little remained. I was less than impressed with Porsche’s material choice. Has anyone ever found a Cayman (or Porsche) specific replacement (like polyurethane, or similar durable material)? I know there are companies that make these parts for the aftermarket, but none that are Porsche-specific. Energy Suspension makes coil spring isolators, but only generic sizes. I don’t even have enough of the original part left to figure out if a generic size would fit. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
