Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am concerned about the change in oil pressure. It is at 5 on the gauge when starting cold, then drops down to 1.5 on the gauge after about a half-hour. 90K miles. Didn't do this when mileage was less than 80K (started out at 5, then dropped to about 3.5). Should I be scheduling a rebuild, or is this common, or is this an indication of something else?

POST 2Original post

Did you recently change your oil? Is oil level OK? What kind of oil/viscosity? What were the oil temperatures when you took the pressure readings? Are you burning any oil? Any weird whistling sounds? Excessive vacuum at the oil fill cap? Are you losing any coolant? Other possible changes in behavior between your 80k and 90k thresholds?
