Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

I did that and it worked fine after that (mind you mine was still playing music, just the display was weird).

No unique explicit quoted action; no causal link assigned

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I left this morning, and my CDR 22 was happily playing the radio. Filled up with fuel, and it came on with the usual Porsche script, but spelt Porsch5. Most odd. Then it wouldn't do anything else, and now won't turn on at all. Anyone know if its permanently dead, fixable, or if there's a way to reboot? Thanks, Robert.

POST 2Original post

have you tried removing the security front panel thingy and putting it back on? Mine once came up with a weird display. I did that and it worked fine after that (mind you mine was still playing music, just the display was weird). Failing that, I have a spare one I have been thinking of ebaying for 10mths now (shameless plug :wack: ).

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did try removing and replacing the front panel, but no dice I'm hoping it might work when I get back in later, but a forlorn hope probably. What are you looking for for your CDR22? Is it in good condition? (i.e. buttons/security LED not cracked-looking)

POST 4Original post

You could try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and see if that forces a reset of some sort.

POST 5Original post

Remember ignition key to ON before taking off the battery I believe or suffer the alarm having a cow
