Found another discussion that the outer bolts under the door should be able to adjust the height but only accessible if you have the windows lowered all the way down.

I've found threads on how to adjust the window inward/outward angle using the 2 bolts in the bottom of the door and tried putting both front and back areas of the window all the way to inward.

you can also try to reset the top window position by pushing up on the power window switch for a 15-30 seconds (IIRC) after reaching the top limit desired position.

Bought a 987.2 recently and there were wind noises near the window around the driver's head area. I've found threads on how to adjust the window inward/outward angle using the 2 bolts in the bottom of the door and tried putting both front and back areas of the window all the way to inward. It improved from wind noises coming in at 55mph to 75mph but still there. Comparing to the passenger's side window, it seems the driver's side window is ever slightly towards the back of the car, almost touching the small rear quarter panel window with only about ~2mm gap while the passenger side has 4-5mm between the rear quarter window and the side window. So the window probably needs to be adjusted more upward and can't be fixed by the inward angle. Does this need to be done through the window regulators inside the door?

you can also try to reset the top window position by pushing up on the power window switch for a 15-30 seconds (IIRC) after reaching the top limit desired position. Sometimes after changing battery - this needs to be reset.

The bolts at the bottom of the door adjusts the window height and side to side I believe but the bolts to adjust the window position forward and back is inside the door panel.

If you have the service manual or a subscription to Alldata DIY online there are details on how to adjust the window. You do need to remove the door panel to access the adjustments to move the window forward or back, yes.
