Hi Folks, Does anyone have any suggestions for replacement silencere for a 98 Tip 996 ? Apparently they are specific for pre 99 cars. OPC want £463 each . Or are there any aftermarket systems that are not too loud that I could fit ? Thanks loudly !!

I just put some Schnell tips on mine from www.vertexauto.com - there is a thread on here somewhere with pictures - they were £108 delivered.

I've had a look at Porscheshop and design911 but they're still coming out at £700 a pair. Carnewal seems like the best option at the moment and there's a firm on ebay both doing reconditioned type boxes with a sporty sound for about £350 a pair. Vertexauto don't seem to do the silencers. I'll have to check whether they will work on an early tiptronic and take it from there.

Sorry, a couple of beers in I read tips They do sports exhasts as well and list them as performance mufflers at about £350 + shipping - they look very much like my Agency Power ones which I am very pleased with - great upgrade...
