Suggestion
The bulbs are relatively cheap to replace if non bi-xenon, check the spec and look into the bulb options and source on line at HIDS4U and other sites.

Bulbs are very easy to change, the steps instructions for removing the headlamp unit and changing bulbs are in the user manual

To change the bulbs you need to remove the entire front light unit from the wing.

Hi All
I have just picked up my C4s yesterday and have a couple of issues which I thought someone could help me with ??
1. How do you adjust the height of the seats ? they are the bucket style but each time I press the leaver nothing happens?
2. The main headlight bulb passenger side works sometimes when it feels like it? how much are new bulbs and how easy r they to fit ? :?

Congrats on the purchase of the best looking 996 :wink:
It sounds like you have the sports seats which lose the memory function but are a must have option in my opinion.
They can be tricky to work as if they are completely down and you are sitting on them they won't auto rise when you pull the lever. You need to take your weight of the seat a bit and allow it to rise up. The back of the seat is electric controlled.
The bulbs are relatively cheap to replace if non bi-xenon, check the spec and look into the bulb options and source on line at HIDS4U and other sites.
I read my porsche book for 2 weeks after purchase getting to grips with all the info.

I had the same problem with my seats when i bought my C4S last summer. If yours are the same as mine, pull up the lever on the side of the seat and take your weight off the seat at the same time and the seat will spring upwards.
To change the bulbs you need to remove the entire front light unit from the wing. Check to see if the tool is in with your jack - if not, I think it's soimething like an 8mm socket. rotate the bolt inside the boot, just to the side of the unit and the headlight unit will slide out. Don't force it and make sure you don't try adjusting the headlight or fog light elevation by mistake.
