Thanks for fixing that, looks much better TX.
Yes... THANK YOU!!
:thanks:
I think it sounds quite good. It wasn't on the dealer configurator when I placed the order, but I am seriously considering a Tequipment retrofit. The tips are a little odd, but I suspect the aftermarket will provide some better solutions.
No kit just yet... We did get the an update with the general install guide, so it maybe out soon.
We will keep you posted!
Thanks

:burnout:
The sound difference is cool, I don't think I like the way the tips don't cover the entire end of the pipes.
Thanks,
Mark
Here is a close up...
A customer of ours called it the "circumcised look" :hilarious:
...but cleaning the tips maybe a thing of the past
Interesting. Ultimately, I think I may end up buying a Sport Exhaust system to play with it a bit.
Despite the tips look a bit naff and costing more than £2000 to fit. There is a waiting list in UK to have it retrofitted! I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting!
Perhaps our friends at Suncoast can chime in on this, but I was told by my dealer that the full 997.2 PSE install requires 9hr of labor ($100/h USD) since the 997.2 PSE does not hook into Sport Chrono as did 997.1 PSE when doing the retrofit. A new panel w/ the PSE switch has to be ordered using your VIN and installed along w/ the wiring to the PSE. Alternatively a 3h labor install includes the PSE but no switch, leaving the PSE on all the time. Others have been quoted $3800 USD for the full install.
Hi there,
could someone please explain to me what to to in order to have the PSE switched to "loud" at all times?
I own an european car and if I switch the exhaust to "loud" it will go back to "normal" between 40 and 70 km/h.
Any tips?
Many thanks and best regards, Stefan
Stefan
If you have the PSE installed per the factory w/ the switch, the only way I know to have it on all the time is to disable the switch and the electronics leaving the valves open all the time. If you have Sport Chrono and engage sport, the PSE will remain on more often since the SC changes the engine programming (at least w/ PDK), but as soon as you ease off the accelerator at lower speeds it will switch off. Thanks for your answer Dave! I have to try if Sport/Chrono is changing the behaviour of the PSE. In my Coupé it is not so easy to hear the difference between PSE on and off...
