Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hi, there are some re-conditioned arms available from hartech in bolton but not sure of the rubber bush hardness,we havbe fitted some of them and found it no stiffer.
Leading evidence: 'Install some of them and found it no stiffer' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install some of them and found it no stiffer' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

On drive home this evening noticed a creaking noise coming from the front.
Only whilst going slowly - crawling in traffic for example there is a constant creaking from the front - which is puzzling as its not as though the suspension is getting much of a work out at all at traffic jam speeds - yet the creaking is constantly there.
Faster and you cant hear it - but thats probably down to all the other noises tyre rumble etc..
Once parked up I pressed down on the wings and there is a creak I can reproduce.
So question is what can it be?
Hello the noise you describe is quite common among boxster and 996 models
it is the lower control arms they are £189.50 plus vat each plus fitting.
The bushes are noisey in the arms.

Thanks for answers so far, Senoj yes that's interesting - I noticed the noise when I neared home not when I set out.
Is there an opportunity for upgrade - can you get just upgraded bushes - or if not, control arms with upgraded bushes?

Ha ha It seems every time I come on here to ask something, the same has just happened to someone else
Mine has just started creaking two days ago. I have ordered one from Hartech. £120 +vat + £50 deposit on exchange. These are reconditioned with new bushes and also the ball joint.
OPC wanted £228
There is an upgrade on the bushes. Porscheshop were cheapest at around £100 + vat for all four. However, there is no upgrade for the ball joints that I have found

I've had this on the near side for a few weeks. It seems to have gone away now! Could this be that the weather is getting warmer? ie damp related?
Cheers
Mike
It will come back again, rest assured. You can soak them in oil, but again, it will come back again after a while.
My thoughts are, that if they are creaking, there must be some movement and reduction in performance, so I decided to change mine.
