Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry its a really obscure one. The trim panel surrounding the seat memory switches on my C4S has a divot in it from previous ownership, that has been bugging me. However, I cannot find the part number, or how the whole panel/switch assembly is fitted. The nearest I can find is 996 551 119 01 (I think) - panel for the manual lever assembly. Any ideas where I need to look? Paul.

POST 2Original post

There are well over 50 variants of this panel, so you need to get it right. The "basic" one in black plastic for memory seats, 02-, coupe/cabrio, RHD, is 996.551.019.31.A03. There are others, for silver, leather, leather colour, targa, LHD, etc, and different model years. The price is £351 inc VAT, so you need to be sure, and I would check with the supplier before comitting. The number you qoute is for -00, coupe/cabrio, without memory seats.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you very much Richard. I'll investigate Porsche Leeds and Porsche-apart to compare prices and look at their online parts list to make sure. Paul.
