Suggestion

36psi all round is the correct pressure for 17's, unless you run 225's on the rear, in which case it is 36F/41R.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, i have winter tyres fitted to my car at the moment. Is it worth changing the pressures from the standard 36 psi all round? Cheers Chris

POST 2Original post

Stick with what is recommended would be my advice. 36psi all round is the correct pressure for 17's, unless you run 225's on the rear, in which case it is 36F/41R. I don't think you would gain anything by lowering the pressures, except perhaps in serious snow. I run standard pressures in mine (albeit different sizes than yours) and it is fine.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ok cheers I just thought id check.
