Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The spec is bang on. I would go so far as to say this is highly likely to have been spec'd by a previous Porsche owner as it is right on the nail IMHO There is nothing I would consider to be unnecessary or excessive, the PDK is a personal choice, but when taken in conjunction with Sports Chrono is a beast. I'm assuming Dynamic lights are Xenon as standard or I'd add them in.
The only additions I would
like,
would be some minor aesthetic stuff like logo on wheel caps and headrests, alcantara head lining and some interior pieces coloured in exterior colour; centre console, strip across dash, seat backs etc
But these are minor, all the important stuff is in there! Can't help on pricing as I'm not in your local market.
p.s. Beware of people slating the BOSE system, its perfectly good and have spec'd it on all my P-cars.
Agree with
g-money
, those options are right on for a "sport" configuration.
Make sure to really try the seats out as every person is built differently and you may not fit the sport seats.
Good luck with the purchase!
I'd have to agree with g-money as well. That's a well optioned car, and I wouldn't delete anything. I'd probably add a few exclusive options such as leather trim pieces. I really don't know what amount to offer to begin price negotiations, since I bought mine in 2008.
Since you are going to live with the car does it suit your needs and tastes? You've gotten positive comments here and on the other forum about what other people think, but you are the one buying the car. Have you taken a test drive? Do you prefer PDK to the MT? Do you like the color combination? Do you find the seats comfortable? If you drive the car and love the whole enchilada, does it really matter that a guy on an anonymous forum tells you that the Sport Exhaust or adapative sport seats are a waste of money? Good luck, it's a very nice car at an attractive price.
Age old question between Porsche sports exhaust and an aftermarket exhaust. Go with what you like best for long term. Same goes for the seats, sit in the different ones and try them out then order what works before for you. The adaptive sports seats are darn heavy that's for sure!
Thanks for all the inputs everyone. I pretty sure I'm set on everything except the exhaust, I may just go with the standard oem. Then the price will come done a bit.
Nooooooooooo!! Seriously though, I thank the heavens daily that my most recent car came specced with PSE. Not an option I'd be dropping out. Save some cash on the seats if needs be. As someone else mentioned; they weigh a tonne. Standard seats are excellent. You'll want the growl.
Let me start by saying that nothing beats the experience of buying and breaking in a brand new car. That’s the emotional side. The practical side tells me that most of the depreciation of a new car happens in the first three years. Most leases are two to three years and are structured to maximize the dealer’s resale value. Anyway it is not impossible to pick up a three year old, well maintained, albeit broken in by someone else, 911 for about 30 to 50 percent off the new sticker price. So in short, if this is an emotional purchase, go for it and enjoy the experience. If not, wait two – three years and buy a lease return CPO with all the options you want. These are well built sports cars and you can’t go wrong either way.
If you plan to mod the car any time down the road you may find the PSE was a waste. Personally I wouldn't have PCM in any car I intended to keep. Nav dates a car imho. The adaptive sport seats are a personal choice that's not for everyone, although I personally agree.
Either way that is going to be one fine 911S!
