fitted the Pirelli's on mine and also quoted for Continental Sport 2 (I've heard they have a shorter life).

Just replaced all 4 contis for Michelin PS2 and the extra grip is superb.

Am I the only one who struggles to find tyres? Looking for 2 new rear tyres - Conti N's 255/40/17. My local tyre dealer can't find any in the country. The websites I have tried don't appear to stock them. Any ideas??? :frustrated:

Have heard that there is a problem with the supply of Contis for Porsches at the moment. How much tread left on your fronts? Maybe change all 4 for another brand?

Continental have stopped making N compound tyres. This is putting a strain on supplies from other manufacturers. Michelin are installing another production line to increase their production which will alleviate the problem in the near future. I guess it's time to go for that complete change rather than trying to replace a pair of tyres.

Michelins every time. Not as good as the Contis in the wet but waaaaaay better in the dry.

We had a thread about tyre prices recently; and yes, I was told by the garage servicing my car that there was a shortage of N rated tyres. Story was OPC's were robbing stock cars but whether this is true or not I cannot say. Event Tyes http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/quotation/results.php fitted the Pirelli's on mine and also quoted for Continental Sport 2 (I've heard they have a shorter life). They and a few other internet companies may be worth a try.

Just replaced all 4 contis for Michelin PS2 and the extra grip is superb. Got all four for £600 from Martins tyres West End J3 M3. Had Michelins on my previous car, so didn't try another make also had the geometry done as well which makes such a huge difference to the handling :lol: :lol: TB
