Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I tried a few calculators but I must not be getting it right. I have a 2009 Cayman S with 18 inch wheels. I'm looking at some BBS Porsche sport design wheels and am not sure if these will work (even with spacers). Current wheels 18×9″ ET46 on the front wheels and 18×10″ ET36 in the back. New Michelin PS4 tires - 235/40R18 and 265/40R18 BBS wheels 8J x 18-ET 52; 10J x 18 - ET 65 Can anyone tell me if the BBS wheels will fit my car? fit my tires? what spacers I'd need If they will work? Much appreciated!

POST 3Original post

Thanks for that. I admit I'm a bit thick when it comes to wheel/tire numbers. I've gotten Google AI answers, but not sure I trust it. Using the link you provided I get these results. What it doesn't tell me is what spacers I would need. If existing fronts are offset 46 and the BBS is 52, then I would need a 7mm spacer. For the back, existing is 36 and the BBS is 65, so a 29mm spacer? That seems like a huge spacer. Any thoughts? AI says the 8" BBS wheels will accommodate my 235/40 tires.

POST 4Original post

That is a big spacer. over an 1". What model are they normally used on?

POST 5Original post

The ad doesn't say, but at this point I guess it doesn't matter. That backspace seems way to big for my application.
