The Cayman S will appear in showrooms in November (mid to late).
Porsche will own the car, but will supply each dealer 1 unit for display purposes only...no test drives.
The car goes on sale January 14, 2006. It has not been disclosed at what date we can test drive the car...my assumption would be sometime close to the Jan 14, date.
Woodhouse Porsche of Omaha
For those of us that have a November build date, do you know approximately when the car would be available for pickup. I was told January 7th by my dealer. Does that sound accurate base upon what you know?

Jan. 7th is probably an accurate estimate of your arrival date, with your November production.
On sale date is Jan. 14.
Woodhouse,
Are you going to the dealer Cayman training in Atlanta this week?
My training was in Spain, some of our employees will be attending Atlanta.
So we will be able to pick up our cars Jan. 14?? That would be great and still be able to make the LA Auto Show!!!!!!
K-Man S; forgot to ask, What is the article about IAA Cayman Lounge about.??? couldn't find any reference to it in the articles or events listing???
Not sure what you mean by article, there was just a post about how to get backstage at the Frankfurt show as a guest of the Cayman Club.
Today i telephone to Porsche Italy ( where i've ordered my cayman S) He talk about 3 cars for showrooms...20 november
he pick upmy car Dec. 20
'No test drives' stipulation is not only ridiculous, it is unenforceable.
I'm following what I'm told by PCNA...no test drives.
why would they put the car in showrooms if they didn't want it to be driven?
'Cause some fool could possibly take it out and wrap it around a telephone pole........then no Cayman to show for a long time. One idea at least.

Porsche does not want the Cay to cut into 997 sales any sooner than necessary!
