Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

-------------------- Thank you for contacting RUF in the USA. We will be evaluating the Cayman for possible engine conversions. It should be very similar to the Boxster S, so we hope the 3.8 liter (Carrera S) engine swap will be possible. Once the Cayman has been released, we will know for sure. Thanks ---- RUF Auto Centre 214/269-1571 ______________________ Amazing, aint it? I wonder what else these guys are up to?

The Cayman Club Newsletter, sent monthly from this website to all users accepting email in their profiles. I keep back copies of them here on the website in the Articles section. Either you are a new user since the newsletter went out, or you have receive email turned off in your profile.

POST 5Original post

wow... a $40K upgrade for the full conversion? Can't I just ask for the basic engine upgrade without the extra bling?

POST 6Original post

No. That's 40k for the motor upgrade. No bLiNg.

POST 7Original post

I guess i'm not suprised for the $140 000+ combo of the Cayman S(with the performance upgrades, etc) and Carrera S engine. But I guess there's no other way to increase 100HP while remaining NA and street drivibility, is there?

POST 8Original post

Crazy Fast, I'm not sure where the $140k comes from. Say you spend $75k for a new Cauman S, and spend $40k at RUF, that's still only $115k. Personally if I'm out for a RUF engine swap anyways, I'd buy a used Cayman S with uber high miles to lower my initial price of admission. But that's just me. CP

POST 9Original post

My mistake. My 'virtual' Cayman S (from the site, I'm currently waiting to hit dealerships) sets me back $80800 US. I accidently typed in the Canadian conversion, about $104,000. With this addition, it comes up to $120800 US, a reasonable price, considering that a Carrera S (with all other porsches) needs a fair bit of do'h to have the amazing options. ($121,470 US)
