So took the spoiler apart and reinstalled with spoiler lowered, turned on ignition – all fine, used the spoiler switch in the footwell to raise the spoiler which it did until fully raised and the failure light came on and would go down via the switch - i guess this confirms that spoiler motor is working - could it be one of the three microswitch - anyway of testing them?.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

2 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been running a fixed spoiler for a number of years and now decided to go back to standard. When I installed the fixed spoiler, I modified the spoiler loom to prevent the dash spoiler failure coming up – the mod was as found at http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?p=1539837 This worked fine. Upon reinstalling the standard spoiler, by undoing the above mod, the spoiler isn't working and the dash spoiler failure light lit. Initial I tested with the spoiler raised and no response from the spoiler switch in the footwell. Anyone with any suggestion (apart for reinstalling the fixed spoiler!!)
