I would recommend locking the cams and removing the cam chain tensioner for Bank 2 to avoid any side loading on the intermediate shaft.

thank you everyone I will just replace the oil pump cover itself that has a crack instead of the whole assembly that sounds like a job for a later time if/when the engine needs rebuild.

Anything I need to do special to pull the pump. The oil pump housing has boss that fits into the crankcase. Be very careful when removing the oil pump housing from the crankcase not to side load the housing because it is very easy to break the boss off of the housing. I would recommend locking the cams and removing the cam chain tensioner for Bank 2 to avoid any side loading on the intermediate shaft.

I would remove the IMS chain tensioner too. Document where which bold goes, as some are longer than others.
