Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ive pulled the engine and transmission to do a bunch of maintenance (injectors, IMS, clutch) - yeah I could do it with just removing the transmission, but I can do an engine pull in three hours and it lets me attack things from easier angles, properly torque everything, and give it and the engine bay a thorough detailing which helps keep track of any leaks. That said, Id like to install new shocks while Im waiting on parts, and as its a cabrio, I need to open the top to access the rear shock mounts. Do I run any risk of messing anything up if I hook the battery back up and lower the top with the engine out?
