I have been getting codes P0410 and P1411 for the last 6 months after I replaced the alternator/starter/Y Cable.
Leading evidence: 'Replace alternator/starter/y cable' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace alternator/starter/y cable' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. I also removed the air change over valve and tested by applying vacuum - it works properly also.
Test with 12v supply and vacuum - it works properly

Today I removed the alternator then the electric switch over valve and tested with 12v supply and vacuum - it works properly.

Suggestion
Im not sure if my 02 is the same (I know the vacuum system is slightly different) but I had to remove the same valve, proactively replace the vacuum canister, and replace the lines.

Question - can the canister be removed with the engine in the car and then replace these lines with something different or new plastic lines?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm still not sure what the core cause of the P0411 and P1411 codes are.
Hey all-
'99 c2 130K miles.
I have been getting codes P0410 and P1411 for the last 6 months after I replaced the alternator/starter/Y Cable. I've been hunting down this CEL for awhile and doing a bunch of research online. I traced the vacuum lines and all initially looked to be in place. The SAI pump runs strong when I first start the engine for a minute or so. It comes back on randomly at stops while the engine is still warming up. If I reset the codes it takes several cycles before turning back on.
Today I removed the alternator then the electric switch over valve and tested with 12v supply and vacuum - it works properly. I also removed the air change over valve and tested by applying vacuum - it works properly also.
When I removed the electric change over valve, the small line that connects to it from behind the vacuum canister that I believe goes into a 3way tee broke. I can't see behind there to figure out how to replace it. I also can't verify that line that I believe goes from the tee to the one-way valve then up the the throttle body is connected properly.
I have not removed the SAI valve (non return valve). It looks like I need some type of special flat craw foot to remove it - any suggestions for this?
Question - can the canister be removed with the engine in the car and then replace these lines with something different or new plastic lines? With just the canister removed will I have access to the tee and other lines? Any directions on how to remove the canister?
Secondly - I know I can run the car without the SAI system working - I just get annoyed by the CEL. Now that the line from the tee to the electric valve is broke will I lose vacuum that might impact something else? I can't get to the broken end of the line that might still have vacuum to plug it.
I'm still not sure what the core cause of the P0411 and P1411 codes are.
I have attached a picture where you can see the broken line and the canister.
If there is any other info I can provide or pictures
please let me know.
Thanks for any and all advice!!
-Brad

Thanks for posting that diagram. I have seen that online and studied it several times.
I believe line 28 is what has broken on mine. Im just trying to figure out access to it behind the canister to replace it.

you need to get the valve out of there first. It took me probably 3 hours and multiple wrenches and attempts to get just the right size wrench at just the right angle to loosen one of the bolts. After that was out, youll have enough room to do things.
Oh, and putting the valve back in took all of 5 minutes. Search the forum, I have a post about this adventure somewhere.
Good luck.
