Suggestion

If/when you need more camber, lowering the car to GT3 specs with OE arms and a set of coilovers will get you too -1.5 front and -2 rear which is perfect for combo street and track and what i typically run since my car does double duty.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am in the process of using the FCP Euro kit to replace the front suspension components. I am also installing Tarrett GT3 sway bars and drop links. I do use the car for autocross, canyon carving and occasional DE. The front shocks are staying original stock, butI need to remove the shocks and replace the bump stops. Since I am having everything pulled apart should I replace the top hats? Prior to FEAL Coilovers - which come with top mounts. , Using Bilstein B8s, I found the Click of after market bump stops annoying. Unless you are really fixated to camber. I would give thought to stock bump stops, unless you can find one that is "click clatter" free.

POST 3Original post

If its mainly a street car w/ occasional track/AX, I would replace the mounts with new OE mounts. The rubber will make it a more enjoyable street drive but give you the strength you need for the track without the NVH. If/when you need more camber, lowering the car to GT3 specs with OE arms and a set of coilovers will get you too -1.5 front and -2 rear which is perfect for combo street and track and what i typically run since my car does double duty. I also run the Tarret GT3 adjustable sway bars and drop links which are a very worthwhile upgrade, but I have a set of Bilstein PSS9 coilovers on my car and have no idea with the OEM Struts how they would behave. Sure, you can go with adjustable control arms and/or tarret mounts for more camber, but you really wont need it for a double duty car. But one or the other or both are a future option if you decide to go further. Hope it helps.
