Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bought a 2nd wheel set of 4, 18" 10" ET 58 for rear and 18" 8 1/2" ET 52 for front. Was told they came off a 2000 986. Best I can figure is I will need a .25" set of spacers for the rear. Anyone with any experience this size wheels?

POST 2Original post

This is the best spacer calculator I have come across. https://jr-wheels.com/et-calculator Regards from Perth Derek

POST 3Original post

with a 10" rear, 40 to 45 is a nice place to be, so think about a spacer around 15mm. 10mm would probably be ok. a lot depends on what tire you are running. also, your lug bolts long enough?

POST 4Original post

For the 18" at 10" width - I would first ask what tire you are getting and if you modified suspension. It is not an easy answer as it may run inside or outside... or both. Mine had 275 in the back and it would rub on the fender with 20 mm spacer, but only under heavy bump, normal driving was OK. Yet, I got rid of them (it was the previous owner who put them on). Front was 235 and was OK.
