Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all first question from a newbie, just bought 02 996 turbo 36000 miles fsh it has the usual smoke now and then on start up, as i've read this is the norm, but the near side tail pipe soots up a lot more than the other. Is this just one bank running richer or something more sinister? Also when sat idling abs warning light comes on computer and sometimes psm, clears down on restarting, any offers. Battery has recently been disconnected does this mean system needs resetting at dealership to stop the warnings randomly appearing? Many thanks for any input.

POST 2Original post

Hi Although I have a C4S 2006, I have the same problem !!! I am taking it to dealer on wednesday and will let you know what they think it may be, it could be relevant to your problem. I am told it could be a blocked breather or, more worryingly, worn rings !! Andy

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
