Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Last year I brought a 996tt (02) and to be honest you cant compare the two cars, best advice I can give you is to take "the boss" and test drive a few, once you have driven one that will be it you will be raiding the piggy bank!!!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Evening all, I am currently trying to persuade my wife that we need to upgrade the 996 C2 we have to a 996TT. I have put my specifications forward as follows it must be a 02 facelift version or later and it must be basalt black or midnight blue, but what I need to know -in order to strengthen my argument, is what are the differences between the the facelift version and previous versions as I wasn't aware of a "pre-facelift" TT. Many thanks for any advice

Glovebox, ideal for lipstick, little umbrella and a compact. The MY03 cars upgraded (joked) to the MOST bus for stereo/PCM so the maps are a little more up-to-date so she can find all the lovely boutiques etc If you go a little later ie. MY04 cars there's the 2 year service interval so she doesn't have to deal with grease monkeys in OPCs
