Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suspected cause
I love carbon fiber for the strength and weight savings but I'm probably the only person on the planet that doesn't care for the carbon fiber 'look'.

Suggestion
Easiest way would be using fishing line to separate the spoiler from the trunk and then remove the double sided tape with a little heat or carefully with adhesive remover.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I like the look of CF I just feel like sometimes it cheapens the overall look? Maybe not, in this case, it looks like a nice piece, just the only CF that would be on the car.
I love carbon fiber for the strength and weight savings but I'm probably the only person on the planet that doesn't care for the carbon fiber 'look'. And don't get me started on anything carbon fauxber.
I love the slight ducktail look. I have one similar but it is not quite as tall. Had I the choice when I upgraded mine, I would have rather had this one!
with the proper cleaning and good 3m tape will work great, on my Mercedes E350 the rear spoiler is taped on and I run that car thru the carwash every other day.

Yep, I do it all the time. When you yank 3M VHB you tend to split the tape from within the foam, keeping the two parts safe. Then it's just the tedium of rolling/scraping the adhesive off the surfaces.
I should keep my mouth shut in this thread given my conflicts of interest... but I do think the RL spoiler works on a darker car. Hiding the Carrera spoiler's little humpback/ridge feature is smart.
The adhesive should come off with some heat and fishing line. You can use an eraser wheel or just elbow grease and goo gone for whats left behind. There is always a chance that the paint could come up with it, while it may be unlikely it is definitely something to consider. I've seen it more with newer cars because clear coat is getting thinner and thinner as companies try to keep costs down. The 3M tape should be more than enough to hold it on. I've gotten both cheap knockoffs and more expensive spoilers on other cars and never had an issue.
Yep! Rennlines looks good. Hope they come out with a carbon ducktail as well.
@circuit.heart
looking forward to seeing yours come to fruition as well. Good to have options depending on what you are looking for. All good.
Want to confirm that this would not interfere with the operation of the spoiler. Sure looks like it, but don't want to get it and then find out! I agree, this is super nice looking.
I'm glad these have great fitment but double sticking tape on the oem cover and slapping a BIG spoiler on seems cheap. I'd give it a pass if it was a smaller lip spoiler but given the size.
To each their own :shrug:
