Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I wouldn't mind paying if this was for genuine investigation of non-warranty areas but is this normal practice or are they trying to rip me off again (they could pull the ECU codes within minutes!) and how much would it be to source and change the sender myself?

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have had an intermitent oil pressure failure on the gauge of my 2003 TT. Now it soon returns to normal pressure and based upon other similar observations I would assume that it is the sender which appears to be a common fault. I raised this with the OPC during a recent service and they said that unless I authorised 1 hour to investigate they couldn't do anything. Now I have the official warranty which has been described by the OPC as an insurance policy which will cover the cost of the repair but not the cost of investigation. They want £123 to investigate if I have a fault with either the electrical system (sender) or the oil pressure - both of which are covered by warranty :frustrated: I wouldn't mind paying if this was for genuine investigation of non-warranty areas but is this normal practice or are they trying to rip me off again (they could pull the ECU codes within minutes!) and how much would it be to source and change the sender myself? :?:

POST 2Original post

I you have to pay for the investigation, take it to an indie. Pay them half the price then go back to the OPC and tell them what to do. Complain to Porsche GB that you had to go down this route and express your dissatisfaction that you were treated this way by one of their agents and copy the letter to the insurer who covers the extended warranty. Name and shame.

POST 3Original post

This is obviously Leeds your talking about, or Sheffield. I have had the same sort of issues with Nottingham but a few words in the right ears seemed to resolve things. I mean we are supposed to believe we have "trained professionals" working on our cars yet they can't diagnose a faulty sender!! Incredible, truly incredible. :frustrated: :wack:

POST 4Original post

Cardiff OPC the same !! I have this very fault and the warranty, I called out the RAC and they could find no fault, went to OPC Cardiff who offered the same 2 hours to look for the problem! I also had a window windor problem, same thing let us investigate, the part is not covered on warranty cause it is not mechanical :what: went to an indie, havnt complained but i should shouldnt i.... also i do feel "Poor" when i go to the OPC mine is only a cheap £40k car after all..... :frustrated: What to do!? Paul

POST 5Original post

> also i do feel "Poor" when i go to the OPC mine is only a cheap £40k car Nh, they still give you crap service if you buy an expensive 80k one.
