Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, RE:996 I am trying to remove and replace my clutch hose line that is connected to the slave and the hard line. I tried to use two 15 mm wrenches one of which is a flare wrench. With much force I tried to loosen the union, but no luck, I'm afraid that if I try too hard I may strip the brass fitting. Any suggestions?

POST 2Original post

Best bet is to use two flare wrenches if possible. I have never had an issue with one of those. Be very cautious not to turn the right side. It should not spin on the blue line. Just hold the right and position your other 15 mm wrench so that when you squeeze them together it loosens the left side. You will be able to get the most leverage by squeezing the two wrenches together. Watch your fingers!!
