Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can someone please tell how to remove the front seat lever surrounds on my 996 Carrera Cab. I want to get them painted the same colour at the body work (meridian silver) but can't figure out how to remove them. The lever itself just pulls off so that is simple.

POST 3Original post

I believe you would have to remove the seat covering (if that's even possible without damaging it). And even then you may not be able to remove the surround without damaging the leather. If this is that important to you, why not mask it with painters tape and use touch up paint. But personally, I think it would look strange.
