Hi everyone, first post as a new member. Have been working on the front end of the 2003 c4s with the initial intention of replacing discs, pads and painting the calipers. But a number of other issues then raises it`s ugly head. My problem is concerning the rack. On removing both the rigid pipes i find on each end of the pipes there is a small plastic cup white in colour covering the flared end of the pipe with obviously a central fluid hole. These are cracked and not reusable so my question is, what is their purpose and are they necessary? Has anyone encountered this, guidance much appreciated, regards Martin.

Hello OP, I might jazz this thread up a bit. Pics of the car and a bit about you and how you came to be in the C4S. Then I'd add in some pics of the issue at hand. Perhaps no one knowledgeable has seen it yet as it looks like you may have made the post in the middle of the night. Either way, a bit of gloss can only help in my view.
