Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quick question... My rear-wiper switch has become detatched from the dash and is hovering loose just behind where it should be. Any recommendations for the best way to get to it so I can push it back - assuming, hopefully, that it has just come unclipped rather than broken? I was wondering whether removing the air-con control panel would give access to the switches? Thanks, Martin.

POST 2Original post

You just have to unclip the panel containing the 3 switches. Get a butter knife (or similar blunt instrument) under the bottom edge of the switch panel, and lever it away from the dash.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Perfect, thanks for your speedy reply... I'd already checked your book! Hope the Cayman is going well... P.S. have just p/ex'd our 10 year old Golf 130 TDI for a nearly new BMW 120d Sport... might have to change to 'Diesel184' now!

POST 4Original post

I've just bought a 118d for my daughter. £30 a year road tax!! Really nice little car, although I find that all small cars are getting bigger and bigger.
