Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I changed my 996 seats to 997 sports seats as I couldn't get on with the 996 seats no matter the position.

Suggestion
I know not all cars have it but the memory on 14/18 way seats comes in very handy - I have two settings for myself one for spirited driving (bent arms, low seat squab) and one for urban or relaxed long distance journeys (higher squab for better visibility, seat a little further from the wheel for more relaxed arms, extended seat base for support), my other half has the final setting for her (programmed to her key).

Suggestion
With manual seats, I used to use a couple of small spot stickers, one pair on the rail/slider and another pair on the backrest adjuster - that way if the seat got moved during a service, I didn't have to spend weeks guessing my way back to my preferred position.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've had my 996 C4 for nearly a year now and, as always with pretty much every car I've ever had, it's taken me ages and ages to find a good driving position. I was looking on the 'tinterweb and found a thread talking about the Porsche Human Performance vid on the YouTubes:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72qpgA7Cr_4
Do you know what? I've followed the steps in the vid and the driving position feels so much better than any combination I'd ever come up with. It makes driving the car feel even better.
I'll give that a try too.
I've got the 18way seats but that don't mean a great deal if they aren't adjusted well.
Not sure about having the seat low down though. I'm a bit if a short@rse so wouldn't be able to see out the window. 😀
Thanks for sharing. Here's another more in-depth seating position video, by Reg Local (police driving instructor - with lots of other advanced driving videos).

I must be in the vast minority but in 3x 996s I've never noticed an issue with the position, but I see so much written about it online. :dont know:
I will have a look at that link though and see if anything noticeable comes from it, so thanks for posting. :thumb:
Mind you I came from RHD 964s so I guess I must just be so relieved to not be sitting diagonally anymore.
