Just checked both strut mounts and the arrows are pointing front to back so that's off the list.
Leading evidence: 'Check strut mounts and the arrows are pointing front' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check strut mounts and the arrows are pointing front' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Installed a set of 19" wheels with brand new tires and the car had a constant vibration from the front.

Then swapped the rears side to side, still no change and still pulling to the right.

I agreed for them to raise it, do a corner balance, alignment and reset all the bushings.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I told him he sold me a bunch of work that didn't fix any issue and didn't make the situation right.
Hi, I'm looking for some help with a pulling issue that has been stumping me. Car is an 03 996 c2, 96k miles, with H&R RSS coilovers ~3k miles. Initially I lowered it and had an alignment done. Car drove fairly straight without many issues. Installed a set of 19" wheels with brand new tires and the car had a constant vibration from the front. Balanced many times and ended up putting the stock wheels and tires back on and didn't have any issues.
I recently adjusted the suspension height again and the car was all over the road. The rear felt very unstable and had a pretty noticeable pull to the right. I brought the car to a well known race shop that works on Porsche as well as other race vehicles to have an alignment done. They looked at the alignment and said it looked well enough to not pull but the car was set way too low. I agreed for them to raise it, do a corner balance, alignment and reset all the bushings.
$800 later, the car feels much more stable but still has a pretty substantial pull to the right at highway speed 60 and up. I called them to let them know and said it must be a tire pull because the alignment came out good. Well I swapped the front wheels side to side, no change. Then swapped the rears side to side, still no change and still pulling to the right. Tire pressures were 34 front and 40 rear. Ive also noticed with hands off the wheel it mostly pulls under deceleration/ shifting gears.
Alignment specs are as follows.
Caster Left: +8.56 Right: +8.10
Camber Left: -1.42 Right: -1.40
Toe Left: +1/32 Right: +1/32
Rear Camber Left: -2.9 Right: -2.91
Rear Toe Left: +1/32 Right +1/32
Thrust angle is .01"
Corner balance is
699 620
1051 1011
Currently at a loss and any input is greatly appreciated.
The bolts for the control arms and other suspension components were loosened and then torqued to spec to make sure the bushings were neutral at ride height.
Your caster differences are just out of spec.
GT3 Spec:
Caster: 8 +/- 30'
Max caster difference, left/right: 40'

Drop links seem to be in good shape?
Drop links seem to be ok, the shop didn't note anything nor did I see anything wrong when I was under there. There is no caster adjustment I can do is there? Only if I had gt3 arms?
Maybe the right strut is bent a little from an impact ? There are sometimes temporary 'hacks' that good race alignment shops will know to help rectify this small discrepancy and eliminate it from the diagnosis..
Struts should all be ok. I bought them new and had them installed and they have under 4K miles on them. The race shop I took it to suggest I go up 1 turn on the LF and RR to hopefully preload the right front and stop it from pulling. Will be trying that later today and will report back
Car didn't pull with stock suspension or after the coilovers install. After a recent alignment and the alignment at the race shop, there is a noticeable pull to the right.
I raised the RF and LR 2 turns as advised by the shop to try and put more load to hopefully pull it straight. The car still pulls to the right when off the gas, coasting or in between shifting gears.
Of course the blame is on me right now. Saying the car was too low and how weren't the bushings reset and a corner balance done when the coilovers were installed. And even after they "fixed" everything the corner balance went from 49.6 to 49.4 and the car still pulls. Not sure what to do here.
Is the front suspension ride height level side to side?
Who did the ride height adjustment before you took it to the last shop?
Did you install the coil-overs initially?
Something as simple as the strut mount rotated on one side and not the other can mess with caster.
Yes the height is level side to side
I did the final height adjustments before I took it to the last shop
The coilovers were installed by another shop
Arent the strut mounts on non gt3/gt2 cars symmetrical? Would it matter if one is rotated one hole?
Possibly thinking maybe the thrust bushing in the lower control arm on the drivers side is causing the issue? I mean its only .06 degrees out from max spec but is .40 degrees higher than the passenger side. I didn't see any visible issue with the bushings as far as a serious tear.
That would mean buying new struts again so that won't happen. Put it up on a different alignment rack and specs were way off from the other machine so I'll update after that
I had a hunch that the shop didn't do the work properly so I took the car to Pepboys of all places and the toe was definitely off. I had them realign it and what do you know, no pulling. If anyone is in Northern California looking for an alignment of suspension work avoid TFB Performance. I told him he sold me a bunch of work that didn't fix any issue and didn't make the situation right. I'm out $700 for work that wasn't needed, lesson learned.
