Just to be clear I don't need someone to pass a modified car, just one for example that will do the emisions test while the car is warm.

Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for a sensible MOT tester around south Birmingham/Solihull/Warwickshire. Unfortunately the place I have used for many years of Porsche and Caterham ownership, Roman Motors in Stratford on Avon has closed. Just to be clear I don't need someone to pass a modified car, just one for example that will do the emisions test while the car is warm.

I use a place in Droitwich so about 30 mins south of Solihull.. The owner built my Caterham 360 R for me personally and has worked on my 996.1 and 996.2. I ran the gen 1 car without back boxes for a while.. emissions were never an issue come MOT time.. He's a great guy and treats the cars as if he is working on his own vehicle if you're interested I'll PM you his contact number Johnny

I take all mine to Paragon, on the Foleshill Road, near the Ricoh in Coventry. Never had any problems.

Been going to Mintro Padmore Garage (Worcester MOT Centre) in the centre of Worcester for years. Never had any problems and they are good with stuff. My 944 failed the MOT years ago on the rear suspension mounts and they welded them for me for a reasonable amount.
