Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suspected cause

May not be the same but i have just had my clutch checked and work done (under warrantty), the dealer thought there was an issue with the clutch release bearing but it turned out to be the fork that was broken.

Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Morning All. Drove my car yesterday all as normal. Jumped in last night to go home from work and the clutch pedal is noticably heavier. It was light now it feels springy. It's still smooth and it doesn't appear to be slipping. The clutch was changed 22k ago Is it time for a new one or leave it for a bit? Cheers Chris

POST 2Original post

Chris, May not be the same but i have just had my clutch checked and work done (under warrantty), the dealer thought there was an issue with the clutch release bearing but it turned out to be the fork that was broken. The reason i am letting you know is the symptoms you listed sound the same, the clutch was really stiff before although no slipping etc but now that all's been changed its like a knife through butter much much easier and my wife can actually push it in and drive the car now. Obviously theres always a down side to everything! Mckay
