What I dont get is why on earth dint Porsche make this a function that by pressing a button you could change the beam to suit Europe.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What I dont get is why on earth dint Porsche make this a function that by pressing a button you could change the beam to suit Europe. manually its a royal pain in the ar5e. Is there anything in the aftermarket that automates this?

POST 2Original post

couldn't agree more....removing the lights, unscrewing the grey box, flicking the switch, screwing back the grey box and then refitting the lights is a pain....but then it gives you something to do when in the tunnel

POST 3Original post

What's all that about then? Or is that a facelift thing, as I don't have to unscrew anything on mine :?: I have to say I have never seen a remote switch to do this on any car of any make... There must be one somewhere, but it would add weight and complexity that 95% of buyers would never use.

POST 4Original post

I've spent the time in the tunnel doing just that.......but only the once. Next time I took great pleasure in brightening Johnny Foreigners side of the road up, just so they didn't hit me

POST 5Original post

am quite sure theres a grey box (mybe on clips?)...will try and check when the rain goes away!
