Apparently it was the antiroll bar ball joint on the end (or at least that is what I _heard_ him say on the phone) rather than the bushes themselves.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, first post, so be gentle Got a 2002 996 4s that's developed a front suspension squeak when reversing out of my drive (it makes the suspension go through full travel and only occurs on full lock). Anyone got any ideas? Cheers for any thoughts. Le Migration info. Legacy thread was 36438

POST 2Original post

Lee In all probability it is likely to be the front antiroll bar rubber bushes a bit dry. If so this usually happens in dry weather and disappears in wet weather. Cheap and easy to rectify with a bit of lubricant suitable for rubber. Jo Migration info. Legacy thread was 36440

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Jo. Cheers for suggestion, just went out there and lubricated them up and after closer scrutiny, I think it is coming from more inside the wheel arch (I have found that if I turn the wheel full lock to the left and move the front left side of the car up and down, it will squeak, but only in full lock. It's off to the dealers tomorrow, but was hoping to perhaps have a fix myself before then so as to avoid the hassle/expense. Anything else it could be do you reckon? Migration info. POST 4Original post

its either going to be top mounts squeaking on your front shocks or front lower track control arms - unfortunatley both will be pricey to rectify although neither are dangerous faults just noisy and annoying!! Migration info. Legacy thread was 36465

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

*****. Well, not a lot I can do about that myself. They are coming to pick the car up later on today, so as soon as I know, i'll post the verdict from them. Cheers Lee Migration info. Legacy thread was 36476
